The souvenir glasses, which you can get with both beer and cocktails, are great and you can even get a souvenir cocktail shaker. In the past, you could get a huge glass for beer, but sadly that’s now only available if you get he souvenir glass, which was disappointing, so a small beer for my husband it was. I don’t’ recall it being as expensive the previous times we’ve been, you can now expect to pay a good $20 per meal (at least), but it is lovely. This time round, I had one of the cocktails (really tasty!) and a chicken wrap with waffle fries- so much food! It arrived quickly, too. Do it well in advance though, it books up fast. You can reserve seats by contacting them directly or through the Disney experience app, which is how we did it. We had a reservation this time, which I’m really happy about because average wait seems to be at least 45 minutes (at a low peak time) without one.

This little gem in Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney) is similar in style to the Rainforest Café and provides a whole experience as well as gorgeous food. Whomever manages this restaurant is brilliant - and they hire good people. I did not have to wait for anything - nor did my neighbors - even though the place was packed. Service is really good with the thousands of servers, buses etc.all moving at light speed. Overall I think T-Rex is incredible fun and decent food. I was tempted to try some of the Fish or pasta instead of the ribs - maybe next time. Along with a ample burger selection T-Rex also has a nice pasta and fish section - a wide variety that will accommodate a myriad of taste buds. That's the same chicken and ribs on one plate - but you have to bring a huge appetite as the portion is very large. We probably should have ordered the Boneyard Buffet and been done with it. (I mean- how hard is it to wreck a chicken? - actually it's really easy) But the chicken was juicy without being overly greasy and was nicely seasoned. The Half Chicken was ordered by daughter - I tasted some and it was pretty good.

From the looks of things it appeared to be very popular in my area. That said the ribs were good and most BBQ folks would enjoy this dish. I am the king of slow cooked food so my expectations are quite high with BBQ. The Stuffed Chicken was very rich - and my wife couldn't finish it. We tried the Mastodon stuffed chicken and the St Louis Ribs. Main dishes are good - nothing too off the wall - but still a wide variety designed to please a lot of people versus a foodie type. Most are quite delicious - although the Bruschetta had eggplant - which kind of threw me a little. The Appetizers are fairly typical - but with added cute Dinosaur themed names. My wife got one and loved it - i tried one and almost went comotose from the infused cotton candy. Some of the highlights - if you like to be wiped out by a huge sugar rush in an Adult Beverage try one of the Cotton-Tinis - Cotton Candy impaired.I mean inspired Martinis. It's little bit more expensive compared to equal portions and types at most other restaurants - but you also don't get to eat with dinosaurs and see the end of the era when meteors and a asteroid hit the earth (that really happens - although it won't hurt anyone - just the dinos). That said the food quality at T-Rex is above average. As for the food - first no one should be going to a Themed Chain Food Restaurant to Critique the wares for taste. If you get headaches from commotion or loud environments you will need to avoid this restaurant - or if you have to go avoid the Ice room - the lights flash and there are a tremendous amount of kids excited as all get out everywhere. The humongous Octopus (which is slightly animated) is fantastic. There are a number of scenario rooms -The Ice Age & Ocean Bar/Aquarium room being big standouts to me. Sure there are extraordinary wait times for those without reservations - but even with that - the flow is still quicker than most restaurants. The que and crowd control is fantastic - more so when you consider how incredibly busy this restaurant can be. T-Rex is a wonderfully themed and executed Dinosaur extravaganza. If you are an older adult that still gets excited about animatronics and Dinosaurs (like I am) then the T-Rex restaurant is a must go too. If you are heading to Disney Springs with younger children - then the T-Rex restaurant is a must go.
